Schedules from highschools and universities

I want to use 1calendar to view my university schedule.

One of the great services 1calendar provided to Danish university students was an automated access to their schedule information.

We will be providing this service again this year with the start of the semester around September 1.

You will be able to sign up to your schedule during registration, but you can also sign up to 1calendar now and sign up to your schedule when your semester starts.

General questions

Does it cost anything to use 1calendar?

1calendar is a completely free product and will continue to be free in the future. To continue developing the product, we are partially funded through advertisements and partially through collaboration with educational institutions.

How do you spell your company name?

We were a bit unsure of that ourselves. It's 1calendar - not 1Calendar, nor onecalendar - and definitely not first calendar - we are not the first, we are the one.

Using 1calendar

How do I create an all day event?

Create an event and then mark off the “all day event“ in the bottom-left corner of the box.

How do I create an event that spans several days?

Use the mouse to pull in the end of an event and move the mouse to the day where you want the event to end.

How do I create an event that spans from one week to another?

Create an event and select that event. Then change the dates of the event so that it fits you requirements. You can’t make an event span over several weeks by pulling in the end of the event as you can with multiple day events.

How do I move an event?

Simply point the mouse over the event and drag and drop it to the place you want.

How do I make an event longer or shorter?

Pull in the top or bottom of the event with your mouse. You can use your mouse resize events over multiple days.

How do I scroll through weeks?

Either press the week marker in the top of the calendar or use the keyboard arrows to shift through weeks.

How do I create new calendars?

Press the plus sign in the bottom left corner to start creating a new calendar.

How do I create an event?

Simply press anywhere in the calendar grid where you want the event to start and then pull the mouse to the place where you want the event to finish.

How do I create repeating events?

Create an event and then write the rule by which you want the event to repeat into the 'Repeat' field. The rule has to start with 'every', followed by the rule, e.g.:

  • Every day
  • Every 2 days
  • Every week
  • Every month
  • Every weekday
  • Every Tue, Thu
  • Every week on Tuesday
  • Every week on Monday, Wednesday
  • Every 2 weeks
  • Every month on the 4th
  • Every month on the 3rd Tuesday
  • Every month on the 2nd last Friday
  • Every week until January 1, 2007
  • Every week for 20 times
  • Every year

To convert a repeated event back into a single event, just empty the 'Repeat' field, or change it to 'never'.

Creating an account

I received a password reset email, even though I did not reset my password.

If you have received a 1calendar password reset email that you did not request, it is likely that someone accidentally entered your email address or username when attempting to log into their account. This often happens if you have a popular username or email address. As long as you do not click the link contained in the email, no action will be taken, and your account will remain secure.

I get an error using the confirmation email.

Please follow the steps below to resolve this issue.

  1. First, try logging in with the email address you signed up with.
  2. If you are unable to log in, please copy and paste the full URL (web address) of the link that you received in the confirmation email into your browser.
  3. If you're still having trouble after the above steps, please submit a report on our contact page.

I received an email that I created a new 1calendar account, even though I didn’t sign up for a new account.

If you have received a 1calendar account confirmation email in error, it's likely that someone has mistakenly attempted to register using your email address. As long as you do not click the link contained in the email, no action will be taken, and no account will be created.

It says there is an existing account associated with my email address.

Please click here to request a new password for your account.

If you are not the account owner and are attempting to sign up for an account, then please be aware that you can only sign up for one 1calendar account per email address. Email addresses are offered for free by many websites (e.g., Yahoo!, Gmail). If you believe you are receiving this message in error please submit a report on our contact page.

My confirmation email doesn’t arrive.

Please follow the steps below to resolve this issue:

  • Check your email application's spam or junk folder or filter. Please be aware that some emails may be blocked by your ISP (Internet Service Provider).
  • Check that you’re trying to log in from the exact email address you registered with. A common error is registering with an incorrect email domain (e.g., @example.com is not the same as @example.net). In addition, keep in mind that email addresses never begin with a "www" prefix.

If you're still having trouble after the above steps, please submit a report on our contact page.

Can you send me a copy of my password without resetting it?

For security reasons, 1calendar will never send you a copy of your current password. However, you can reset your password here.

Please note that if you are already logged in, you can change your password from the Settings page.

I want to change my password.

If you know your password and would like to change it, you can do so in the Password section on your Settings page, which you can access from the Account menu at the top of any page.

Unfortunately, if you have forgotten your password, you will first have to log out, then request a password reset. Before you do so, be sure that the contact email listed in your Settings page is one that you currently have access to, since the password reset email will be sent to this address. You can request a password here.
